Frequently Asked Questions

On the supplement facts panel, I noticed that the % Daily Values for children under the age of 4 and for children ages 4 and above were different. Why?

There is a wide variation of nutrient needs for children ages two to seventeen. Fit4Kids™ was specifically formulated to meet the nutrient needs for toddlers to teenagers. Special care was taken to ensure that nutrient amounts were neither too high for smaller children nor too low for older children.

Also, the vitamins utilized in Fit4Kids™ are in large food-vitamin complexes and contain many phytonutrients that are not provided by synthetic (chemicallyderived) vitamins found in many vitamin/mineral supplements. Whole food vitamin complexes are absorbed much better than synthetic vitamins and are better utilized by the body. Many studies show that whole food-vitamin complexes are absorbed as much as 4 times more than synthetic vitamins. They are also much safer for children.

My doctor told me that synthetic vitamins are absorbed just as well as vitamins from food. Why then, does Fit4Kids™ contain only whole food vitamins? What is the difference?

Many supplement users do not realize that synthetic vitamins are poorly absorbed. Even less are aware that the excess amounts must be excreted from the body. The body cannot possibly utilize these large amounts of chemically derived vitamins and studies show that it seeks to get rid of them as soon as possible. That is why many people who take these supplements notice that their urine has a strong smell and is much darker in color soon after taking their supplement. Nausea and constipation are also often seen with the intake of synthetic supplements.

Whole food-vitamin complexes are absorbed as the foods that they are. Your body will retain and utilize almost all of the naturally found whole-food vitamin complexes in foods and in Fit4Kids™. Those who use Fit4Kids™ will not experience the unpleasant urine characteristics and other side effects accompanied with the intake of other supplements.

Whole food-vitamin complexes also do not cause the negative side effects and toxicity seen with many synthetic vitamins. Also, the need to excrete these underutilized synthetic vitamins causes our body to work much harder than normal, especially our kidneys. Synthetic vitamins have been shown to decrease the absorption and utilization of other vitamins, increase the incidence of certain types of cancers, may cause a thickening of the arteries, and are linked to many other problems.

Whole food vitamins may be more expensive than synthetic, but their absorption, bioavailability, and safety make them the only choice. In making our product we reviewed all of the research available and came to the only conclusion possible, Mother Nature really does know best.

I make sure that my child eats plenty of fruits and vegetables and other healthy foods. Why would I need a product like Fit4Kids™?

Even the most diligent parent will find it difficult to ensure that their child’s diet meets all their nutritional needs. For example, probiotics and prebiotics are difficult to find in foods in significant amounts. DHA and essential fatty acids are even more of a challenge. Many children do not like to eat fish or the other sources of essential fatty acids (flax seed, borage oil, and cranberry oil).

Plant digestive enzymes are found only in raw fruits and vegetables and are often destroyed when foods are irradiated. Also, due to over farming and soil depletion, our foods today contain significantly less nutrients than they have in the past.
